Marketplace Competition
So, just how hard is it going to be to get your website noticed on Google? One of the first ways you can tell is by how many results come up for your keyword in a search. So if you go to Google.com and type in “Wood Restoration” You get the following results:

This shows just under 1.5 million results for our search. This however, is not a true representation of your competitors because this pulls in results from any and all words that pertain to either one of those. There are a few special commands that you can use to quickly and more accurately get a better picture of your competition:
Inanchor:”keyword”
Intitle:”keyword”
Let’s see our “wood restoration” search again with the inanchor command: Inanchor: means that those are the words being used to make a link to another website. Google gives you much more credit for having the words “wood restoration” be a link than having the words “click here” to go a wood restoration site.

Ahhh, that’s much better! Only 54,000 results have the words “wood restoration” as links on their pages.
The intitle command is similar to the inanchor command, except it shows only the results that have our keyword in the title of the webpage. And without further ado:
Even better! There are only 8,480 results that have our keyword “wood restoration” in them. Google rewards you with top placement on keywords, the more relevant that you are. Thus, you want to have both on your page. Be sure to check out the other Frequently Asked Questions on SwansonSEOServices.com!
