So what is page rank and what does it have to do with us?  Page Rank (Fun Fact: Page rank was created by Larry Page, the co-founder of Google.  Thus it is Page rank, as in “Page’s rank”, not page rank as in “webpage rank”) is calculated by some complex formula by Google. 

It takes into account how much traffic the page has, how many other pages are linking to it and its relevancy.  It goes on a scale of PR0 – PR10.  Google is the only Web Site that has a PR10.  Getting page rank is good because it means that Google recognizes you as relevant to the topic. 

Page Rank is updated every quarter.  One of the SEO strategies that we use is to get websites with high PR to link to your site.  That boosts your PR and in turn boosts your ranking in the result pages.
